Second mechine age by Erick.B , McAafee

Industrial revolution vis-a-vis machine age.

Has changed the world order. India & China, rich countries for centuries , overtaken by the western world.
Industrial revolution can be divided into the first machine age with the Advent of steam engine around the later part of 18th century; when the limitations of muscle power by human or animal turned to mechine to generate great energy. Thus came the factories, Mills etc for Mass production. And also change in weapons like guns and cannon. This made the western world militarily powerful and superior place in trade over those countries once rich, lost their sovergnity and riches.
Twentieth century witnessed another revolution. Where the limitations of mental power got over by the new invention called computer. From then on the progress has been rapid. From calculation, memory,  communication to robotics, automation in various areas like shop floor work, pilotless car, voice interaction in language in giving commands, translation etc. This development is known as the second mechine age.
